Professional Experience

Sol Source Partners Inc. 2009 – present

Rolf is a founding partner in Sol Source Partners Inc. (“SSP”.) SSP designs and builds building integrated solar photovoltaic systems. SSP also provides consulting services for feasibility studies, design, and project management for clients proposing or building solar photovoltaic systems. Clients and projects completed include Hospitals, Schools, Social Housing organizations, Commercial/Industrial facilities, farms and private residences.

Creative Communities Research Inc. 1995 - present

  • Rolf is the President of Creative Communities Research Inc. ( "CCRI" ). CCRI builds demonstration projects, renewable energy projects and develops water reclamation systems. His accomplishments include being runner up in Canada's National Efficiency Awards (1999) and having a project featured on a postage stamp (1997).
  • Rolf authored and delivered papers to the Canadian Water and Wastewater Association, and the World Water Week Symposium in Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Rolf acted as an advisor to the Federal Green Municipal Funds administered by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities for four years ending in 2006.
  • Rolf acted as a project advisor to the Sustainable Development Technology Canada, a funding agency created by the Government of Canada for two years ending in 2007
  • Rolf initiated and delivered environmental projects including remote monitoring in the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, British Columbia and Ontario.
  • Rolf is the author of four patent applications, one granted and three pending in connection with water reclamation technology.

Nunavut Mercantile Corporation 2004 - 2008

Rolf was the President of Nunavut Mercantile Corporation, a commercial landlord and property owner, in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

Creative Communities Inc. 1991 - 1996

Rolf was President of this residential development firm. Creative Communities developed multi unit residential housing in Toronto.

Mathesis Inc. 1989 - 1991

Rolf was President of this computer software maker. Mathesis served accounting, quantity surveying and industrial control markets. Mathesis developed Fiscal Knowledge, a software package for general and project management accounting. Mathesis also developed a software tool for calculating prudent reserve fund values targeted towards, social housing, condominium corporations and commercial properties. Mathesis also developed industrial control software for measurement and logistics.

Construction Strategies Inc. 1985 - 1989

Rolf was President of this Construction management firm. CSI specialized in performance bond completions. It completed institutional, commercial and civil projects that were abandoned, bankrupt or in litigation.

Contract Construction Inc. 1980 - 1985

Rolf was a partner in this Construction company specializing in commercial and residential interiors. He was chiefly responsible for design/build projects and project management.

Tangent Woodworking Ltd. 1975 - 1980

Rolf was a partner in this Construction company specializing in interior cabinetwork and carpentry. He was chiefly responsible for sales and business development.

Volunteer Experience

Metro Agencies Regional Council 1992 - 1994

Rolf is the founding chair of this multi agency council. The agencies involved in MARC serve persons with developmental disabilities in the Toronto area and collectively they receive over $350 million a year in funding

New Visions Homes 1986 - 1993

Rolf is the founding President of this agency. New Visions Homes is a residential program that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities in Toronto. When Rolf retired from New Visions it had 120 staff and it is still an active and growing institution.
